Drs. Cathy and Jim Sinning are the owners of Lake Harriet Veterinary.
Dr. Cathy grew up in Fargo and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead. Dr. Jim is from Davenport, Iowa, and went to Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. We graduated from the Iowa State Veterinary College in 1998. We worked in Portland, Oregon for 2 years before returning to the Twin Cities. We live in SW Minneapolis with our 2 kids, 2 cats, and 1 dog.
In 2007, we opened Lake Harriet Veterinary after extensively remodeling a former daycare center slated for tear down. The original staff of 5 employees has grown to a healthy group of about 30, and a second story was put on the clinic in 2014. Dr. Cathy retired from seeing patients in 2021, but continues to play a management role. We love serving the wonderful pet owners of the Twin Cities—the privilege of experiencing the bonds between you and your pets nourishes our soul!
